Confined Spaces

Working in confined spaces presents unique hazards.  Compass Group UK & Ireland adheres to the Confined Spaces Regulations 1997 to ensure the highest levels of safety.

We identify, assess, and control risks such as hazardous atmospheres, restricted access, and potential engulfment through rigorous procedures, without the right controls, these environments can be life-threatening.  All work in confined spaces are controlled by a permit-to-work system, which ensures that only authorised and competent persons carry out such tasks.  Our company rules and procedures mandate thorough risk assessments, gas testing, emergency plans, and continuous monitoring before and during entry.

By enforcing isolation, ventilation, and rescue measures along with regular audits and training, we safeguard our workforce and maintain compliance with legal and industry standards.  Safety is our priority in every confined space operation.
