Rachel Beirne - Head of HSE Compass Ireland
After spending 10 years as a food safety manger and then a consultant Rachel joined Compass in 2015 as an HSE Auditor for Ireland. In December 2018, she moved to the role of HSE Manager, and she now serves as Head of HSE for Compass Ireland. She leads the Irish HSE Strategy, driven by her passion for ensuring everyone's safety and fostering a strong safety culture.
Rachel holds a BSc and MSc in Environmental Health and Safety Management, along with a Higher Diploma in Food Science and Technology and a Level 6 Certificate in Training Skills.
Outside of work, Rachel has a passion for travel, exploring new countries as well as appreciating the beauty of Ireland through walks and hikes. She likes astronomy - enjoying books, talks, and the challenge of spotting the major celestial events - despite Ireland's often cloudy skies! To unwind after a long day, she loves playing video games or reading.
