Highfield Food Safety E-learning (Level 3)

Highfield has drawn upon ten years of experience to develop the most interactive food safety e-learning training course available. This course is available online through the Highfield Learning Management System and gives the ability to monitor, manage and record training activity.

Compass HSE are now an accredited learning centre for Highfield and a registered examination provider for Highfield Qualifications. This means, that we are licensed to deliver the Highfield Level 3 Supervising Food Safety in Catering (e-learning) and will be developing further learning, subject to business requirements.

What is Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering?

In Compass some of our contracts/clients require our colleagues to undertake specific Food Safety training and to hold nationally recognised Food Safety certificate, such as Level 3 Award in Supervising Food Safety in Catering.

This qualification is ideal for anyone working as a supervisor, team leader or line manager in the catering and hospitality industry. Subjects covered include microbiology, hazards and controls, food poisoning, personal hygiene, premises and equipment, cleaning and disinfection, pest management, food safety management, supervisory management, legislation and enforcement.

Course and Assessment

The course costs £140 which includes: the examination fee, text book and a certificate on completion. A cross-charge will be made from HSE cost centre to the unit/sector nominated cost centre when licence is allocated.

This e-learning course is for use as a self-study training package without the need to attend a three-day, classroom training course, as it is available online through the Highfield Learning Management System. The system also enables the HSE team to monitor, manage and record training activity, allowing to track the progress of colleagues undertaking the course.

On completion of all the training modules included in this course, colleague will be booked to sit the 90 minutes multiple-choice written assessment.

IMPORTANT

Written assessment will be invigilated and carried out in a controlled environment by a nominated HSE team member. Please ensure that you arrive in good time to set up for the assessment. If you arrive late you will not be able to sit the exam and you may still be charged.

How to book the course?

All course booking must be authorised by colleagues' line managers using the Highfield E-learning Authorisation Form;

The completed Form to be emailed to HSECourses@compass-group.co.uk;

Upon receiving the completed form the course attendee will be contacted with further instructions on the email provided (please ensure all information on the completed form is correct).
