Senior Management Committment

The UK Executive are committed to the development, integration and implementation of our HSE Management Systems. HSE is our number one operational priority.

Procedures are the key mechanism used to communicate this throughout the organisation. The quality, environmental and safety policy provides the foundation and the objectives provide the driving force for continual improvement. Management reviews are held regularly. The reviews allow management to evaluate how the management systems meet the requirements of the standards, and consider improvements to the systems. Management are committed to ensuring sufficient resources are available to make these systems effective.

The UK Executive receive monthly HSE reports and have delegated responsibilities to the HSE Central Functions to monitor and review HSE strategy for the Company.

Objectives and Targets

Objectives and targets are set using corporate initiatives, regulatory and policy changes, audit results, accident and incident statistics and environmental aspects. They must be measurable, where practicable.

Objectives and targets are established, communicated and monitored within the relevant functions and levels in the company. Progress against objectives is reviewed at least annually at each level in the company.

The Objectives are broken down into Environment, H&S and Food Safety and all 3 form part of the Compass Group UK and Ireland's Integrated Management System (IMS).
