September See Care Share Monthly Update

See Care Share – September Update

Please see link below to download September edition of the See Care Share Update.

In this month’s edition, the headline for this month is around the key control measures for ensuring we reduce the risk of spread of Monkey Pox infection, whilst the overall risk to the UK is classed as low by the NHS it is good for all colleagues to be aware of infection control and we have implemented some additional guidance to raise awareness.  Our Safety Focus this month is on reporting of Food Safety Incidents, to ensure we have sight of all incidents no matter how minor you may believe it to be at a unit level, it is important we know what has happened to share learnings and then ensure best practice. Linked to that, the best way of limiting reporting is to not have incidents in the first place, so we have a Safety Conversation of General Food Safety Controls as a reminder as we come to the end of this financial reporting year.

Our Take Home Safety topic this month is on keeping children safe, they are the future of our planet and our business and in a similar ethos to See Care Share, we need to nurture them, help develop them by supporting and educating them on general hazards and help to prevent them occurring.

Please ensure this update is communicated to your front line teams and any related Safety Conversation you deliver to team members are signed off on group training record for the safety conversation.
